Adult size female officer's tunic from the original 1978 "Battlestar Galactica" TV series measures 24" tall and is 16" wide at shoulders w/24.5" long sleeves. Tunic fastens w/Velcro at left side. This officer's uniform is similar in material and texture to the beige tunic worn by lower officers and Warriors on the show. Uniform tunic is dark blue and was worn by officers of high rank, w/two pins affixed to their collar on the left and right. Silver checkered band around neck, as well as same checkered pattern three inches from neckline running around the upper chest and back, w/embroidered silver stripe above. Higher-ranked personnel had embroidered cuffs with the silver stripe and adjoining checkered patterns as this example shows. Officers of lesser rank, had one pin affixed to the middle of their collar. This example has no pins. Inside front chest, there is canvas material that has been signed in black felt tip pen by Richard Hatch, who played Capt. Apollo on the show, though he did not wear this uniform. Tunic is lightly aged but clean and Exc. Hatch's signature displays Exc.
