7/8" with union bug stamp on back. Text reads "Big Strike On The Illinois Central And Harriman Lines." Button was from major 1911 labor action with railroad shop men in 28 cities striking. The rail officials obtained injunctions against the strikers and police and armed guards escorted striker breakers to and from work. There was violence in New Orleans, San Francisco and towns in Mississippi and Tennessee. Historic and rare. NM and displaying Mint.
