Item numbers 1 through 1196 in auction 211
Item Description
5.75" tall brass luster white metal badge accented by 1.25" real photo celluloid and a lightly worn blue backing ribbon. Reads "Robert Davis/Association Of Hudson County N.J. 1909/Member." Davis was one of the most influential political leaders in New Jersey. He dominated the Hudson County Democratic Committee as the party 'Boss' and we found history claiming that Davis was responsible for the choice of Woodrow Wilson as the Democratic Party candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 1910, the year following this badge. Rare and VF.
