Item Description
First is 1.25" with Phila. Badge back paper. Front reads "Committee For Racial & Religious Tolerance." Tiny bit of age on reverse edge and front has just a little hairline scratching near the top but barely showing even in reflected light. Full gloss. Second is a 15/16" button reading "FEPC On All Jobs" at center with rim reading "Fair Employment Practice Commission." This group was implemented by Executive Order #8802 requiring companies with government contracts not discriminate on the basis of race or religion. It was intended to help African Americans and other minorities to obtain jobs in home front industries at the start of WWII. This one has back paper reading "National Council For A Permanent FEPC" with a D.C. address. Mint.
