Item Description
Each is 1.75". The first reads "Dollars For Dellums/Vote Nov. 3rd" and pictures candidate elected to Congress in 1970. In January 1971, just weeks into his first term, Dellums set up a Vietnam war crimes exhibit in an annex to his Congressional office. He also held hearings on "War Crimes" in Vietnam. Button has light oxidation on the reverse and some light surface wear with a few hairline scratches on the front but just showing in reflected light and the piece still displays Mint. With this comes a button naming "Ying" on the front. She grew up in San Francisco and joined the anti-war movement. She became Berkeley's first Asian City Council member. She also worked with Dellums. These buttons are from the Marshall Levin Collection and on the reverse of this is his inked back paper "Ying Lee Kelly/Progressive Candidate For Mayor/Berekely, Cal./1975." This one is Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
