Item Description
12x15" framed display contains 4x8.5" cut piece from the floor of Boston Garden, upon which the Celtics have played their home games since their inaugural 1946 season. This "Parquet Floor" was retired in 1999, w/pieces being incorporated into the new floor to keep alive the 16 NBA Championships the Celtics played upon this floor. That which was not utilized was assembled for displays such as this, which were given to people involved w/the venue as part of a "Friends Collection." Display is complemented by image of "Boston Celtics" logo at center court at top and engraved plaque at bottom that reads "Fleet Center - Friends Collection - John Scher." Comes w/COA on back. Much more limited than other floor pieces issued as souvenirs. An impressive display piece for the serious Celtics fan, or any collector appreciating NBA excellence. From the collection of John Scher, legendary concert promoter, producer and manager and comes with COA signed by him.
