Item Description
Large 17x25" frame w/plexiglas cover. Issued in recognition of sales of Aerosmith's 10th studio album which was released Sept. 12, 1989. The album has certified sales of 7,000,000 copies in the US to date, and is tied w/its successor ("Get A Grip") as Aerosmith's second bestselling studio album in the US ("Toys In The Attic" leads w/8,000,000). It produced a variety of successes and firsts for the band including their first Grammy Award - "Janie's Got a Gun". "Love In An Elevator" became the first Aerosmith song to hit #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Additionally, it is the only Aerosmith album to date to have three Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and three #1 singles on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album was the fourth bestselling album of 1990. Attractive design incorporates silver record w/inset CD at lower left and "Multi-Platinum Sales Award" cassette at right. Top of display has four small replicas of the album, w/"1 Million, 2 Million, 3 Million" and "4 Million" engraved plaques underneath.
