Pair of 16x16" framed displays issued by the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) in recognition of 60,000 copies sold of Art Garfunkel's live album "The Very Best Of Art Garfunkel - Across America," the only official live recording Garfunkel has released. The album was recorded over three evenings between Sept. 17-19, 1996 on Ellis Island, NY. It was released to celebrate the ending of his 12-year Walk Across America. Award displays each contain same configuration that includes album cover, CD and etched metal plaque. Plaques read "BPI Certified Sales Award Presented To Hybrid Records To Recognise Sales In The United Kingdom Of More Than 60,000 Copies Of The Hybrid/Virgin Album 'Across America' - 1996." The other plaque features same design, w/"Hybrid Records" substituted w/John Scher's name. 60,000 units sold constitutes Silver sales status in the UK.
