In 1931 Post flew around the world in the airplane “Winnie Mae” with his navigator Harold Gatty. In 1933 he repeated the trip but this time did it solo. Button is likely from July 22, 1933 when 50,000 people greeted him at flight’s conclusion at Floyd Bennett Field in New York.
