Item Description
Sizes are 1-5/8" to 2". Group leads off with enamel on brass badge for "Railway Express Agency." Reverse has threaded post and brass cap. Some luster loss but the enameling remains Exc. Next are a pair of "Pennsylvania Railroad" employee badges the first being a celluloid button and the second a celluloid covered photo in a metal frame. First item has microscopic craze lines in the emulsion of the photo and just a little tone on the celluloid. The second piece has some minor surface oxidation over the reverse but front remains quite clean. In row two is "Wabash Lounge Car Att'dt." Next is from "American Car & Foundry Co." Some luster off the brass frame around the serial number and right narrow edge is flattened. Next is for "Monongahela Connecting Railroad Company." Small bump on bottom edge. Next is "Aliquippa And Southern." VF. Next is same company but with red accent. Opening below for positioning of a serial number but none present. Next has a black celluloid like substance in a silvered frame. Early 1900s and reading "R Ry./&E. Co." In bottom row is employee badge from New York/New Haven and Hartford Railroad. Small dents and a little age on the celluloid but not significant. Next is employee badge from "Railway Industrial Engineering" this was a Greensburg, Pa. company and is c.1932. Last is photo under celluloid in metal frame for "Boston And Maine Railroad." This has missing piece of celluloid .25" diameter lower left plus some small cracking upper right. Overall pieces average Fine and each with a serial number would be a unique issue.
