Item Description
7/8" with rarely seen back paper from a Washington, D.C. firm named as "A. Kahn, Inc./Jewelers..." Celluloid has four tiny indents on the right side of his face. Two are mere pinpoints barely detectible while the third is a tiny dot above his ear and the fourth is a 1/16" line below his ear. These two marks show slightly under most viewing circumstances but the piece still displays Extremely Fine and with full gloss. By the year this button was issued, 1924, Johnson was in his 17th season during which Washington won the pennant and proceeded to defeat John McGraw's New York Giants in 7 games. Rare and displays NM.
