Item Description
Smallest is 11/16" in row three and largest is 2-1/8" in bottom row. While this one is a beautiful button it has a half dozen long and short craze lines with just slight roughness to the surface but the piece remains totally stain free and dates from 1903. The only others with a little age are the first in row one with couple tiny rim dots and a 1/8" craze line followed by the first in row two with just a little brown tone on the left rim text but still a beautiful rare button. Another with a touch of age is the last in row three. Earliest dated buttons are from 1900 and include two from that year plus one from 1910. Subjects include his birthday, fraternal groups, advertising. We also see the second item in the bottom row has craze lines but again remains totally clean. Those with damage are the exception and vast majority are Exc. and display Mint. Many with first seen text imprints.
