Item Description
Items span 1950 through 1987. We've grouped by male and female and primary slogans. These are all from city centennial celebrations, mostly in states East of the Mississippi. While some designs repeat, the city and dates do not. Group begins with 49 that include "Brother(s) Of The Bush." Well distributed between 1951-1979. Sizes of these are 2.25" (1 undated) 38 pieces, 1.75" eight pieces, 1.5" one and 3.5" one. Of these 49, nine have minor age marks or other minor damage that does not severely effect appearance. Next are 27 that include "Shaving" (or Shaver's) permit plus four miscellaneous with title such as "Smoothy" or "Little Shavers Club." Sizes are 2.25" 23 pieces, 1.75" five pieces, 1.5" three pieces. Of these 31, nine have minor age marks, fading or darkening. Next are the ladies. These begin with six that include "Sisters Of The Swish." Sizes are 1.75" to 2.5" with one undated (likely 1960), and five between 1955-1987. All are clean. Next are three miscellaneous 1.75": two "Cosmetic Permits" from 1966 & 1984 and a "Hussy Permit" from 1957. All are clean. Last are 24 between 1956-1977 that refer to "Centennial Belle (or Bi-Centennial or minor variation). Most are 1.5" or 1.75" with one at 2.5". Of these 24, four have age marks or fading. Grand total is 113 pieces with 22 having defect but in most cases of a minor nature. A lifetime collection.
