Item Description
1.25" with back paper by Colorado Badge. This historic dedication day took place in Horseshoe Park and local communities vied to see who could get the greatest attendance with newspapers urging residents to put banners on their "Machines" so that it would be clear what city they represented for the motorized trek from Majestic Hotel at 7:30 AM for the run to Estes Park. Stephen Mather, Associate Secretary of the Interior donned his raincoat for his speech but as the program continued the clouds parted and the sun emerged highlighting Longs Peak in a coat of new snow. Over 2,000 attended the dedication. Button is NM displaying Mint and the only one known to us.
