Item Description
1-7/8x2-5/8" thin paper card from a set of 100 issued by Caramelo Deportivo (Sporting Caramels). This set covers the 1945-46 Cuban Winter League season and features teams: Habana, Almendares, Marianao and Cienfuegos. Cards were intended to be pasted in a corresponding album. This set features many former and future stars of the Major Leagues as well as the Negro Leagues, in some cases providing the only cards issued contemporary with their playing careers. This is one of the key cards in the set and represents Minoso's rookie card. Front features "Minnie" in his Tigers uniform, back has text on him and this set. Photo image is sharp and bold.
