Lot of eight pieces of early concept art for the 1937 animated feature film on trimmed/clipped animation sheets. Largest measures 8.5x10.5" and shows all Seven Dwarfs gathered around tree stump, Dopey reaching for a nut as Doc raises gavel. Art is primarily lead pencil w/red colored pencil accents to Dwarf images. Other seven sheets range in size from 3.5x4.5" to 4x7". All have lead/colored pencil image areas ranging from 2-3/8x2.75" to 2.25x4". All but two have handwritten captions. Two feature Grumpy mistrustfully comparing Snow White to a "Wenamous Wiper" while third Grumpy image does not have text. Three other images feature Doc, two of them show him talking down to other Dwarfs while third shows him grabbing his throat in alarm. Last sheet shows Dwarf sitting on toadstool. All date to c. 1936. One Grumpy sheet is missing .5x.75" piece at upper right corner tip and sheet w/Dwarfs on toadstool is missing .5" piece at top. All smaller sheets have numerous pinholes at top margins and even lt. aging. Image areas are o/w Fine. All are well-drawn expressive examples.
