Item Description
1.5" by Emress, NYC with front reading "Fan Club/Jan Welles." Surface has light all over wear but no damage and the piece displays close to Mint. Welles told her story in a 2001 biography titled "Stardust Girl: A Memoir." She was a singer for RKO records, a regular on The Arthur Godfrey Show where she was known as the Stardust Girl as well as appearing on the Steve Allen Show. Rather than deny her lesbianism she abandoned her career and moved in other directions which included becoming the first woman bullfighter in Mexico. First we've seen.
