Item Description
Original cardboard box w/end panel reading "No. 6235 Piano Cigarette Box" contains original hard plastic novelty piano w/interior that served as a cigarette container. Made by Nosco Plastics, a division of National Organ Supply Co. of Erie, PA. 1950s. Box has scattered moisture staining to lid but remains tight and Fine/VF. Lid of grand piano features portrait image of piano personality Liberace as well as his facsimile signature and piano sketch. Printed piano keys label in place. Tiny 1/8" flake to paint over Liberace's eye. Marbled ivory plastic is a bit aged and underside of piano lid has one small peg off, but lid still remains in place for Exc. display. Front of piano (above keys) has been inscribed in black felt tip pen in Liberace's hand "Art & Joyce" and has musical notes drawn beside inscription. Underside of piano lid has further inscription in Liberace's hand, reading "With Sincere Appreciation Of Your Kindness And Friendship...Love The Car! Liberace" w/great piano sketch by his signature. Underside of piano has been dated (also in Liberace's hand) "July 30, 1952." Inscription/signature are Exc. The most interesting and unque Liberace signed piece we have ever seen. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
