Item Description
7" tall painted solid plaster figure depicted Esquire Magazine mascot Esky in Santa Claus outfit, a sack over his shoulder w/recessed area for votive candle. Unmarked, but produced in the 1940s as Esky appeared on December issues of the magazine several times during the decade. Likely a newsstand item, possibly given as a gift. Scattered dust soiling w/tiny nick/impression to his cheek and some white paint flaking that blends somewhat on mustache, beard, sleeve and coat hem. Fine. Scarce.
