13" tall classic doll by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. 1940. Movable head and upper body are composition while rest is wood-jointed. Complete and all original w/original red fabric cape, which has faded w/age. Figure has not had touch-ups or restoration as typically found. Belt decal w/simulated buckle on front while back features copyright/company information. This area shows some wear to decal, w/Superman, Inc. copyright text mostly missing. Front of belt decal has some scattered flaking. Chest symbol decal is 100% complete. Wooden segments of arms and legs show wear, w/back of left leg having crack to upper piece of boot, though still structurally sound. Still a very displayable example that stands nicely. Appearance remains Fine. If restoration is desired, we can refer someone, but we felt it important to offer this in its original state, sans any such work.
