Auction #185 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 945 in auction 185
Item Description
2.5x3.5" stiff cardboard holds 1.25" tall brass shell pin in superb condition. Rainbow patina luster on the shovel, bright silver on the bucket and glossy black paint on coal lumps. Combining text on card and badge equals: "We Must Bust The Trust Or They Will Bust Us." Best example of badge we've seen and the essentially mint card is quite possibly a unique surviving example. Date uncertain, possibly Bryan 1900, or possibly related to TR's mediation of the coal strike of 1902 or his 1904 campaign.
