Item Description
16" tall and the larger of two dolls produced by Knickerbocker (also produced in 12" tall size - see item #1744). Stuffed cloth body, felt ears and painted composition shoes. This is elaborately designed cowboy version. 1930s. Missing part of rubber tail but o/w complete w/fabric neckerchief and original string whiskers. Outfit includes pressed felt hat, suede vest w/metal studs, matching suede/wool chaps w/metal studs and accessories include two 2" long die-cast metal guns as issued w/these dolls. Guns have some scattered aging/tarnish and are Fine overall. Doll has moderate aging, white face has all-over evenly tanned. Composition shoes also have aging w/moderate crazing on undersides and .25x.5" darkened spot on tip of one. Comes w/replacement vintage rope lasso which looks great. Doll still stands for display, though it leans forward a bit. VG overall. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
