Item Description
6x8.5" purple thin paper mounted on linen quite some time ago. Great typography of letters in many sizes and boldness. Reads: "City Hall./To-Night!/Gen. Butler!/Will Address The People At/City Hall, This Evening,/At 8 O'clock,/On The Issues Of the Campaign!/Galleries Reserved For Ladies." What campaign this was for is an open question as he ran for Congress five times, for Governor of Massachusetts three times and for President in 1884. Two small flaws on upper edge and .5" deep darker color strip on center fold from tape once applied to the reverse paper, but no longer present. Rare and VG.
