Item Description
Lot of three items signed by American composer, pianist, singer, actor, and bandleader Hoagy Carmichael. Carmichael is best known for composing the music for "Stardust, Georgia On My Mind, The Nearness Of You" and "Heart And Soul," four of the most-recorded American songs of all time. Glossy 8x10" photo shows Carmichael reading newspaper and has been signed in black felt tip pen, Carmichael adding "Sincerely" inscription. Exc. Next is 8.5x11" typed lyrics sheet for "Star Dust" that Carmichael has signed in blue ink, again adding "Sincerely" inscription as well as musical bar. Scattered handling wear but VF/Exc. overall. Last is vintage 3x5" index card that has been signed in blue ink on unlined side. Reverse has inked notation indicating that autograph was obtained at filming of the "Garry Moore Show" on Jan. 9, 1953. Card is aged but VF overall. Nice selection of signed items. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COAs.
