Item Description
Original 9.25x9.5x20" long cardboard shipping carton w/"Pollock Paper Company" shipping label on one end notes contents as "Bond Batman King 1-1/4 Lbs. - 2,000 Bags." Recipient is noted as General Baking Company of Wichita, KS. Box shows expected wear w/numerous creases and corner tip wear. VG/Fine. Box contains two original wire racks w/cardboard separators (one in original tissue paper), each containing half-rack of Batman Bond Bread bags. 1966. 9x19" plastic bags w/Batman, Robin, villains Cave Man, The Vulture, Cluemaster and Mr. Zero images. Reverse side shows images of Batman and Robin as well as villains Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Calendarman and Batmobile. Bags held king-size 1-1/4 lb. loaves. Racks came in quantity of 500 bags, we have one rack w/375 bags and one complete and unused w/500 bags for a total of 875 bags. Loaves were hand-fed into bags as these racks were hung on walls in bakeries. Bags are Mint. A "quantity find" for the Batman completist. While shipping box is generic in nature, it is rare, this is the first example we've offered in our 47 years.
