6-3/8x9.25" high quality hardcover w/library binding, gold foil spine lettering and gold gilt pages is "First Signed Edition" published by The Franklin Library exclusively for members of "The Signed First Edition Society," a monthly book club that saw its members receive a different book signed by the author each month. "Hocus Pocus" was Vonnegut's 1990 novel about a college professor who was fired after having comments recorded by the daughter of a popular conservative commentator. He then becomes a teacher at a nearby overcrowded prison run by a Japanese corporation and comes to know members of each community while reflecting on his own history and ensuring his own survival. Book has been boldly signed by Vonnegut (1922-2007) in blue ink on first blank page. Limited edition. Book is NM. Comes w/6-1/8x9-1/8" double-sided sheet w/photo of Vonnegut and text about the book from The Franklin Library. Scattered wear/aging. Fine/VF.
