7.75x10.25x2" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid for Sport-Wear Hosiery Mills, Inc. socks featuring Superman images. ©1949 Nat'l Comics Pub., Inc. Main lid panel feature classic full body image of Superman standing w/hands on hips while lid side panels feature classic image of Superman breaking chains and flying images. Lid shows moderate aging and scattered wear w/corner tip wear and edge wear w/some small surface paper flaking. VG overall. Some unused box lid labels turned up years ago but this is an all original box as issued and scarce as such.
