c. 1890s numbered set of eight. 16.75x21” wood frame has mat w/eight openings, each 3x4.5”. Cards feature captioned cartoon art w/"Polly” parrot tricking dog “Touser” into fighting “Tommy” cat. Both attack each other, then attack Polly. Each card has image of “Luncheon Beef” box at top. Reverse sides have various Armour text advertising. Each card has die-cut holes at top as issued, designed to tie together w/string. Professionally framed and matted, great display as such. Exc. From the Hake Collection.
