Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 17.5" long scale model based on the Hess Voyager oil tanker. Released by Hess in 1966, this was the second toy issued in their now famous line. Box lid features images of the tanker at sea as well as how gas comes to consumers, including images of Voyager in dock at oil field and unloading into waiting Hess truck. Additional scenes show Hess truck delivering gas and Hess filling station. Lid is lightly aged. VF/Exc. Tanker has wheels on keel and has one working light (minor wiring issue could be easily resolved). Ship has "Hess" logo decals on sides of ship and "Hess Voyager" name on sides of bow, though these show some wear. White portions of ship's towers have some aging to glue. VF/Exc. Old store stock.
