Item Description
14x22" artboard has original pen and ink art for June, 1954 Dell/Gold Key "Lone Ranger" #72 comic book. Page has six panels, showing Lone Ranger and Tonto in three panels each. First two panels show cowboys fighting Indians while third and fourth panel shows Lone Ranger preparing to save Tonto from two Apache warriors. Art is for page nine of comic and bottom margin has been signed in black ink by the artist. Additional text along bottom notes title, publisher, issue number, page number and date. Top and bottom center margins each have 1.5" tears, top w/.5" piece replaced. Artboard has lt. even aging, but main art is not affected by tears and would display Exc. if matted and framed.
