6.5" tall to the top of Pluto's head (11.25" tall to the top of the socket). Beautifully painted and glazed ceramic by Shaw and made for the Railley Corp. c. 1947. Incised "Pluto - Walt Disney Prod." copyright on left side of base. From a series that includes Donald Duck, Joe Carioca, Dopey and others that had figurines made by Shaw. Great image of Pluto looking over his shoulder, almost giving the appearance of his head being on backwards. Lamp is complete w/original cord and works. Back edge of base has .25" chip, but this was done at time of production as it has partial glaze coating. Overall appearance remains Exc. Rare.
