Item Description
Figural pair issued c. early 1940s. 4.25" tall painted plaster "Porky" toothpick holder has buttocks depicted w/exaggerated size and w/20 holes for insertion of toothpicks. Figure is nicely formed for viewing display from any angle. Unmarked. Figure originally came w/tag that called him "Porky," due to his porcupine-like appearance. Great design w/wonderful distressed look on Hitler's face. Few small paint flakes on backside around a few toothpick holes. VF. Scarce. Second item is "Hotzi Notzi" 4.5" tall painted plaster figure. Figure is formed in stooped position and rear is an insert tuft of firmly padded brown fabric to serve as pin cushion. Original fabric w/some small chips around edges as cushion has loosened somewhat and was re-glued at some point. Base has incised "Pat. Pend 1941-CPE." Figure comes w/original but heavily aged and creased string tag identifying figure as "Hotzi Notzi." Each side has anti-Axis motto printing. Tag is only Fair, figure is Fine.
