Item Description
2.5x3.75" with die-cut front and back thin cardboard sandwiching fringe-like fabric border plus a suspended cloth flag. Pictured are the three successive men who served as Army Commander-In-Chief with their names below their portraits "Grant/Sherman/Sheridan." Top has pair of pin holes and blank reverse cardboard has tiny 1/8" dot missing where a stickpin may once have been fastened. Likely issued for a national G.A.R. convention c.June 1, 1888 when Sheridan assumed the title. VF and the only example we've seen.
