Item Description
29x35" frame contains original lead pencil and pastel art that has been professionally double-matted to 17.5x23.25". Part of MacPherson's "Nursery Rhymes For Grown-Ups" series, this art features pin-up take on Little Red Riding Hood and was used for closed 5.5x8" folder card that featured series of five full color portraits including front cover. Folder opened to two more portraits on same size panel as cover followed by two more opening folds to reach final 16x22" poster size. Offered here are the first three size images of Little Red Riding Hood as she appeared on the finished product. c. 1950s. Surface has been divided into quarters, three having finished art in them. One features close-up three-quarter image of Red Riding Hood while other two feature full body images of her, one showing Big Bad Wolf in bed and disguised as Grandmother. This image has been signed pencil by MacPherson. Slight red smudge at her feet but o/w Exc. Comes w/photocopy of the final product.
