He also aided the US Davis Cup team to victory. He is the only player to have won both of these amateur and open national championships in the same year. Ashe has boldly signed his name in black felt tip pen on front cover by spine, adding "Peace" inscription. Issue has six-page article on the tennis champ w/bw and color photos.
