Item Description
12.25" tall doll w/composition head, torso and hands, coiled metal arms/legs and wooden shoes. Ideal, 1938. Fabric shirt w/painted "patches" and felt suspenders w/single mother of pearl button. Tiny 1/8" paint flake to tip of hair w/some small traces of wear to hair, but face is o/w bright, clean and free of typical crazing. .5 tear to shirt's shoulder seam and one suspender has small safety pin attaching it to back of pants. VF overall. This African American version of Ideal's "Sunny Sam" doll is considerably rarer than it's Caucasian counterpart.
