2.25". Curl, which has a 3/16" long very shallow dent, reads "Winthrop Transcript, A.P. Quigley, Publisher." This button was used at the 1956 Democratic Convention and includes book title "A Profile In Courage" which in the following year won the Pulitzer Prize. The additional text is "Elect U.S. Senator John F. Kennedy/Vice President." Lower edge includes Boston union bug. This is Hake #2049 with 2004 Guide value of $650.00. Exc. and displays Mint.
