Item Description
Lot of 21 postcards, most measuring 3.25x5.5". All from the period of the Mexican Revolution, c. 1910-1920. Each depict scenes from the Revolution, including some gruesome images of piles dead bodies, hanged men and general destruction. Included among these cards are some featuring US soldiers and two cards featuring Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa. Some cards were printed by Kavanaugh while others were printed by Stratton. 10 cards are printed while 12 cards are real photo postcards w/Azo and Cyko backs. Some have been dated in pencil on backs. Five cards have inked notations/messages on reverse and one has pinholes at corners. Scattered aging, Fine to VF/Exc.
