Complete set of four impressively detailed 7" to 7.25" tall limited edition figural hand-painted and glazed china jugs issued by Royal Doulton as part of a limited edition series of 9,500 in 1985. Each features two-sided portraits of historical figures and their opponent. All were designed by Michael Abberley. "The Siege Of Yorktown 1781" features George Washington and George III. This has "979" incised/inked edition number on underside. "The Battle Of The Alamo 1836" features Davy Crockett and Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. This has "2,523" incised/inked edition number on underside. "The Civil War" features Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee. This has "3,079" incised/inked edition number on underside. "The Battle OF Little Big Horn 1876" features George Armstrong Custer and Sitting Bull. This has "5,852" incised/inked edition number on underside. Underside of each have Royal Doulton marks and titles. Handles also feature themed designs. NM. Wonderfully designed/detailed.
