Vol. 11 No. 1, July 1943 “Woman” is 5.25x7-3/8” w/flag front cover and 96 pages. Includes “The Amazons Are Coming” two page article by Peggy Le Boutillier w/art image of Wonder Woman lifting an elephant off a female circus performer. Positive text tells Wonder Woman’s story, noting she might run for Congress, become an ambassador, or “Her Originator’s Can Marry Her Off To Superman”. Covers have lt. edge wear, spine ends have small splits. Overall covers Fine, contents VF. Vol. 34 No. 3, March 1956 “World YWCA Monthly” is 5.75x8.25” w/cover photo of woman weaving a chair seat at Beirut vocational school. 24 pages include three page article “An Experiment In The Comics Medium” by Marion Robinson detailing National Publications “United Nation’s” promo page in DC comics in conjunction w/The National Advisory Committee on the Comics Project, noting page was the 70th in a series of educational comics produced since 1949 and was also published separately w/a print run of 75,000 for schools, libraries, etc. Other articles include “Equality For Women, The Effect Of Television On Education In Great Britain”. Lt. aging. VF. Both digests had limited distribution. An interesting pair for the comic book historian, based on a woman’s perspective, including the earliest Wonder Woman article we’ve ever seen.
