1942. Done for John Morrell & Co. promo calendar. 19x19-7/8” archival mat has 13.5x14.25” opening revealing India ink and tempera painting. Superb action image has Big Bad Wolf rapidly approaching as Fiddler Pig removes “Welcome” mat and Fifer runs past as Practical opens door to his house. Extreme margin edges have lt. aging, image area otherwise Exc. Comes w/matching 8.25x11.25” Jan. 1942 printed calendar page as issued. Bottom portion has story synopsis. Page has been glued to larger board for protection, image area VF. All vintage Walt Disney original art for products and merchandising is very rare, and this is a particularly stunning example. Ready for framing.
