Item Description
12" wide by 6" thick by 15" tall. Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. ©Ham Fisher. c. 1940s. Plastic molded face. Rubber hands that have darkened w/age. Felt coat/cap/body w/wire armature within. Complete w/original vinyl belt, correct apron (w/slit and w/o text as usually found) and 1.5" dia. celluloid button w/"Hi! Humphrey Good Luck" text and horseshoe image. Button is glossy and Exc. Also comes w/6x9.5" thin vinyl sheet w/image of Humphrey looking at turkey and "Humphrey - World's Champion Eater" text. We are unsure, but this may have been attached to doll at come point. Image/text has bled a bit and sheet has some rippling. Fine. 2x3" double-sided cardboard tag w/Humphrey images hang around collar and has "He's A Flexible Fellow - He Bends And Turns In Hundreds Of Different Positions. This Is A True Replica Of Humphrey From My Joe Palooka Comic Strip. Ham Fisher" text. Exc. Face has some scattered lt. wear, most noticeable to Humphrey's lips. Doll does not exhibit typical fading usually found w/this doll. VF. As nice as they comes and rare, let alone in this choice condition.
