3x8.5" check is dated Aug. 25, 1939 and made out to cash for $100. Check has been boldly signed in black ink by Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burroughs. Check has typical cancellation holes and .25" and 1x1.5" bank ink stamps by signature. Reverse has cancellation stamp. Vertical crease at right, through Burroughs' signature. Check has some lt. handling wear, but VF overall. Signature remains bold and Exc. 2-5/8x6-1/8" check is dated Dec. 17, 1951 and made out to cash for $35. Check has been boldly signed in blue ink by The Shadow creator Walter B. Gibson. Check has typical cancellation holes and large bank ink stamp. Reverse has two cancellation stamps. Vertical crease at center w/some lt. handling wear, but VF overall. Gibson's signature remains bold and Exc. Comes with Hake's COA.
