Item Description
Buttons are 1.75" each reading "Never Again/Jewish Defense League" but one showing fist against Star Of David emblem and second simply showing the star. Both have metal covered backs with horizontal bar pins. The second has one tiny raised bump caused in assembly. Third item is a black and silver luster metal star 1" tall with text "Zalmanson/Free Them Now." Reverse has both bar pin and small loop so it could be used as a pendant. Name refers to a woman who along with others attempted to hijack a plane at Leningrad Airport June 15, 1970 in an attempt to reach Israel. JDL founder Meir Kahane came to her aid as her health was failing in a Soviet prison. At a press conference Kahane declared "If Anything Happens To Sylva Zalmanson Or Another Jew, Soviet Diplomats Throughout The World Will Be Open Targets For Jewish Militants." All three pieces are essentially Mint as made.
