Item Description
Pair of thin art boards fit together to form 19x20.75” India ink image area w/11 panels for Nov. 15. Storyline has Uncle Willie sleeping on sofa and being confronted by Lady Plushbottom about Mamie’s parrot. She opens the door to her room and gets hit by a goat, then opens a window as a flock of birds fly out. Last two panels have Willie trying to sell the parrot to a sailor who asks if she talks. Willie replies “Yes, But She Has Too Much Competition Where I Live”. Last panel has “Willard” ink signature. Complete w/ worn but complete News Syndicate copyright strip. A few word balloons have text corrections, Lady Plushbottom figure in panel four has been neatly redrawn, image area otherwise near Exc. Funny example.
