Item Description
Here are 149 different buttons that nearly completely fill a pair of 12x16" glass frames. Vast majority of items are 1896 into the WWII years. There are a couple of more recent exceptions including the largest button in the group a 3.5" "Welcome Back To Earth Astronaut John Glenn." First two rows have campaign and political theme items. Although with craze lines the next to the last item in row one is a rare woman suffrage related button showing Lillian Hollister and Lulu Ramsey. Rest of this frame include early buttons for tobacco, bicycles, farm equipment, ships, newsboys, health, sports including pair of lightly worn "Snead (Sam) Approved Golf Advisor", royalty, and several for birds and animals. In the second frame there are a number of very early religious buttons followed by early cigarette advertising slogan buttons, buttons for various lodges and quite a few for the 1898 Spanish-American war with additional for WWI and WWII. While a few buttons in the group have some fade, stain or other small condition issues these by far are the exception with the vast majority of these being in VF to Mint condition. In addition to the 149 different there are also seven duplicates for a 156 item total.
