Item Description
The O'Hara watch dial company in Waltham, Mass made not only dials but also political lapel studs for the 1896 election (see #169, 170, 183, 184) as well as badges for advertising and, like these, convention purposes. Each is a slightly domed beautifully colored porcelain set into a brass frame with the company name and a bar pin on the reverse. These are all about 1" with the first two round and the last four oval. First showing Eli Whitney is for 1902 event. This one has a fine hairline down the right side. Next is from 1904. Tiniest bit of tone along the rim edge. Next is from 1905 showing dome of Chipman Hall/Boston with tiny near pinpoint jewel-like accents in gold and silver, which also appear on the fifth item in this group. Fourth item is from 1906. Fifth item is from 1907 and last item is from 1910. The last four are NM displaying Mint. Beautiful and rare badges.
