Item Description
This item c.1915 consists of a 5.75" stiff vertical metal rod with a kink as made in the lower half. The top card shows a young boy and girl with the boy holding a box of the product. The lower card shows a package of the product along with the text including "Souvenir Checkers Packages Contain The Best Prizes/And Also The Best Pop Corn Candy." Back of this card has directions to operate the device which basically consists of flipping the wire left and right so that the top card flips back and forth creating the illusion of the children moving their hands from the product box up to their mouths. Minor light tanning on the upper card with a noticeable tan diagonal mark on the lower card side showing the product box. Card carries small text naming Chicago maker J.B. Carroll. Only example we have seen.
