Auction #212 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 988 in auction 212
Item Description
The two smallest are 5/8" and while each reads "Ford" these are Sunday School rally day buttons and not official Ford issue. Both are from the 1930s and scarce. The other exception in the group is a "Mercury 1972" button with the slogan "Ride With The People's Choice" showing a fierce cougar. Remaining eight buttons are company issues or their labor union and these range from 11/16" to 1-3/8". All but the first are litho. The first two relate to union membership during the turbulent 1930s. The third is likely for the same purpose. In row two the first two are advertising buttons from the 1930s while the next read "Ford Good Drivers League" with a litho pin-back dated 1940 and an enamel pin probably from the late 1940s. In the bottom row the third item references the "Ford Division U.A.W.-C.I.O." and was issued during the WWII years. Exc. to Mint.
