Item Description
1.5" in diameter. What was originally the front of the coin is totally smooth except for the hand engraved inscription quoted in our title. What was the reverse of the coin still has details around the perimeter and on the center star cut-out. At top is a "T" hinge holding a vertical pin with "C" clasp below. Given the appearance and construction we think this is a "Type 1" coin minted between 1864-1935 and composed of 90% silver, 10% copper. Excellent workmanship and probably unique. Normal tarnish with age on the silver. A very interesting law enforcement badge.
