What was the reverse of the coin still has details around the perimeter and on the center star cut-out. At top is a "T" hinge holding a vertical pin with "C" clasp below. Given the appearance and construction we think this is a "Type 1" coin minted between 1864-1935 and composed of 90% silver, 10% copper. Excellent workmanship and probably unique. Normal tarnish with age on the silver. A very interesting law enforcement badge.
